Thank you Valentino

THIS SEASON REMINDS US OF VALENTINO’S HERITAGE, WITH THE BOLDEST OF REDS RE-LAUNCHED ON THE RUNWAY. READY-TO-WEAR IS ADOPTING THIS CHERISHED HUE AND RE-INVENTING ITS FORMERLY REGAL WAYS INTO SIMMERING, SEXY AND MODERN LOOKS.

Modern day icons are donning the hue, replacing our memories of Pretty Woman date night debuts. From couturier to runway, street style to accessories the colour of power is growing in strength. Louis Vuitton sweeps us off our feet in a monochrome eel-skin dress and Balmain sends a strong message with plunging necklines and unavoidable sexiness. At Emanuel Ungaro, we fall all over again with delicate drapery in the colour of choice. At Dolce & Gabbana’s flamenco inspires and Acne bucks the trend keeping the colour but reduces to almost nothing. If it’s a symbol of love or a sign of hate, the colour of a queen or an 80’s icon - it may be this season, but never has more history lay in a hue.
