Breezy Knits

FOR SPRING/SUMMER, CLIMATE APPROPRIATE KNITS RETURN TO THE FOLD, MAKING THE FIRST BARING TRANSITION TO SUMMER EVEN NICER. AIRY, DELICATE AND ABOVE ALL EASY TO WEAR, INTRICATE LIGHTWEIGHTS CONQUER THE FASHION CALENDER.

Transitioning into, and out of, is knitwear’s biggest appeal. Whether it’s turning from a chilly month, into warmer climates, or the other way around. It can work for a beach day right into an alfresco dinner, or turn a business look into a school-run. There is light cashmere or cotton knit that will have you looking comfortably chic for all of life’s awkward transitions. Céline provides us a soft solution that packs a punch, with a knitted dress that bursts into voluminous fringes at the bottom. Calvin Klein perfectly balances between delicate ivory and summer darks whereas Stella McCartney introduces a look that could take you from the city to a holiday. Victoria Beckham has - as we have come to rely on - her staple feminine looks with a certain degree of ease by varying block stripes with a laced-up sweater. And whilst Bottega Veneta comes up with a jumpsuit version, we can’t help but wonder: how are we wearing knitwear for winter again?
