Haute Safari

ON A QUEST FOR ADVENTURE BY ANY CHANCE? DESIGNERS ARE ANSWERING OUR QUESTION THIS SUMMER SEASON, WITH AN ELEGANT SAFARI REVIVAL, THAT HAS SEEN TAILORED KHAKIS WALK THE RUNWAYS AGAIN.

Khaki shades are a safe thing when it comes to the seasonal colour palette, but danger is all part of the adventure no? This safari trend roams further, from deep in the Sahara desert to 1920’s old colonial, its most cyclical reference. Clear examples of both were an entire collection of Hermès, stimulating the North African fantasy, with every textural and atmospheric association counted for. Ralph Lauren taking the latter inspiration with the helpful guide of Indiana Jones, both directions brought with them ample amounts of luxury. By means of her usual elegance, Victoria Beckham interprets with a modern energy, including the use of raw and natural fabrics. Gucci accentuates with an urban dress, with more than just a touch of exotic accessories. Marc Jacobs committed with the entire look, interpreting classic Safari shapes within relaxed oversized silhouettes. Whatever path you choose to take, all directions head towards adventure.
