WITH DELICACY, HIDDEN TREASURES BEGIN TO SURFACE THIS SPRING/SUMMER 2016 SEASON, LEADING US TOWARDS THE WATERFRONT, AND PUSHING US FORWARD TO A REFRESHING AND BREEZY SUMMER.
Beautiful underwater elements floated on model’s garments from the bold fish and lotus embroideries on floor-length gown at Gucci, to the colourful shells stitched on crop tops and mini skirts at Fausto Puglisi. Continuing along with sirens, fishes and corals elements, Massimo Giorgetti created a collage-feel mesh dress at Emilio Pucci, by adding these elements next to each other, playing with size and juxtaposition. As the mesh gown sets perfectly the mood, designers also used sequins all over their outfits, reminding us of fish scales. Sonia Rykiel puts out the perfect sequins dress in a powerful orange and sliver look, while Mary Katrantzou designed a dominant pattern with graphic elements and a colour range mixing hues from green to blue, following by purple until its reach to cherry red. From the cheerful ensembles to the simplistic and refine silhouettes, displaying an amazing range of fabrics, this season will make you feel like a newborn!
