DENIM LEVERAGE

GO-TO STABILITY MERITS APPEAL AND RESORT 2016 FLICKERS UP FRAYED ACROSS THIS DENIM SPECTRUM TO LIFT YOU OUT OF THE COLD.

We’re spotting a full-on denim apparition for the mid season shift. Classic jean jackets and frayed edges could be played on repeat, they never get old. Where denim goes, utility stays close and Sonia Rykiel does a multi-pocketed jacket to unite retro with safari and a frayed mini comes along for the chase.

Cropped and cut-out follows the all abiding plan at Louis Vuitton and J.W. Anderson. Alexander Wang, in the meantime, masterminds an impeccable fit toughened to city stomping with a frayed denim relic short, seen for the first time with a leather jacket tucked in like a second skin. Marni chops the halter and lassos in a neck scarf for a western shade of true blue. Blumarine’s bleached out floral relief amplifies the soon-to-be brightness and Fendi’s leather lined denim lights lean towards the southern sun. We’re seeing low slung slacks at Victoria Beckham, cuffed with prep. The New Year will kick in the radar for a breadth of flared and shape-centric denim cuts, as in Rosie Assoulin’s super wide legs, all-inclusive with lots of space.
