GRAPHICAL IMPACT

VISUAL ALIGNMENTS ARE HAVING A MOMENT. SUFFICE TO SAY, THIS TENDENCY MESMERISED THE RESORT SEASON ALL ALONG THE LINE.

This season's trend of choice explores energising and powerful geometrics organised into graphical patterns, rainbow shaded stripes and colour blocks.
With an extravagant eye for striking prints and weaves, designers make it hard to neglect this tendency. We’ve spotted quirky aesthetics and optical statements as far as the eye can see; from every imaginable silhouette to every thinkable hue, this season stands out as an assertive prime example for visual statements.

From a dose of 60’s style at Lanvin and Bottega Veneta, where it is hard to not notice the Mondrian influence, we are led to Gucci’s 70’s approach and pass straight into the 90’s with Versace. Sonia Rykiel, Emilio Pucci and Acne Studios graphically align by creating a pleasant colour world for the upcoming summer heat. Whereas Miu Miu and Mary Katrantzou scream for attentiveness, Altuzarra introduces a softened down and office-ready ensemble. No matter  if splashy, eccentric or even reduced in conspicuousness, designers did not shy away from creating an artful Resort report.
