LEATHER COATS

WITH THE MERCURY STEADILY SINKING ON OUR THERMOSTATS, IT IS HIGH TIME TO THINK ABOUT HOW TO COVER UP AND KEEP WARM THIS WINTER. AND WHILE IT HOLDS TRUE THAT YOU CAN HARDLY HAVE ENOUGH COATS AT YOUR DISPOSAL, THE ONE NOT TO MISS IN YOUR COLLECTION THIS SEASON IS A WITHOUT A DOUBT THE LEATHER COAT.

The trend of the leather coat has managed to persevere, resurfacing this season in a multitude of new interpretation of this statement cover-up. Miu Miu presents a series of stunning snake leather print coats in a tantalizing spectrum of colours. Including both below the knee lengths as well as double-buttoned short coats, Miu Miu clearly crafted a garment that is both incredibly cool and elegant at the same time. Hermes keeps its take on the leather coat toned down. Showcasing an over sized, loose medium long coat in a deep black, emphasis is placed on the detail. An over sized collar and delicate leather buckle below the waist accentuate the very elegant piece.

Fall/Winter 2015

The Row and Loewe work with belted ¾ length coats, creating elegant and timeless pieces that are incredibly versatile: Loewe presenting a trench coat in a classic style that stands out through its sleek design and The Row with a minimalist no-collar, no buttons flowing coat, that has all the focus placed on the Kimono style folded belt. Working with zippers and print inlays, Bottega Veneta features a fitted, feminine black leather coat that is fun and captivating. Set apart by lots of interesting details, such as a funnel collar, shoulder straps and a blend of different textures this one is a sure head turner. With so many amazing leather coats to choose from, just have fun and let your personality find its perfect match this season and you will be sure to have an all time favourite in your hand.
