Ready to Ruffle

ADDING SUBSTANCE TO CLOTHING HAS NEVER SEEMED MORE ROMANTIC. FOR THE FALL/WINTER SEASON, DESIGNERS ARE INTRODUCING A PERFECT BLEND OF THE FEMININE AND MODERN BY RE-ENVISIOING AN OLD TIME CLASSIC. ARE YOU READY TO RUFFLE?

Taking a look back at the Fall/Winter 2015 runway shows, it seems designers are playing up their sweet-tempered side. Introducing gowns of ravishing romance, designers are revamping old clichés presenting us with silky and flirty fashion with strong historical references. Neo-victorian vibes set the tone at Valentino and Alberta Ferretti whereas Chloé introduces a luxurious yet soft hippie gown. At Givenchy, ruffles come in small doses but enhance quite a few looks. No. 21 keeps the balance of their voluminous dresses by strictly tying the hair back. Flirtatious ruffles are no trend that will be dominating our wardrobes I guess, but they are this season’s special finishing touch.
