SURFER'S DELIGHT

ONE PART WAVE CRASHING ENDORPHINS ONE PART SUN SOAKED COUTURE; THIS IS THE BEACH PARTY THAT SPILLS COASTAL SWELL OVER THE DSQUARED2 SPRING/SUMMER 2016 CAMPAIGN.

No strangers to duality, Dean and Dan Caten sharpen the saturation on island life. High velocity athleticism endures ankle strapped Velcro, surf soled stilettos and multi-pocketed backpacks. Parrots adorn a calf skin clutch and the double D monogram shells deflect the cut out aqua suits. Chunky neon zippers make UV rays bounce, while plexiglass floral necklaces burn holes in the neoprene printed suits. Suits of a different skin tattoo tulle bodysuits as though surfer's rite of passage.

The designers have elicited a technicolour tribalism to direct the rip tides. The culprits behind the campaign images, photographer duo Mert and Marcus, have amplified the unknown location with a low lit sundial that wicks sea water off the surf castaway's skin. Easy cadence athleticism sets the mood for these surfer's sand banks. Front women Caroline Trentini and Mariacarla Boscono, go easy on the action and they revel in the mood of the swells on and off the board. Surfer's delight unhinged.
