WHAT WE SEE IN VERSACE’S SPRING/SUMMER 2016 IMAGE CAMPAIGN IS NEITHER A SNOWY BANK NOR A VAST DESERT. THE PUREST MOVEMENT OF STRENGTH AND EMPOWERMENT FINDS ITSELF LOUNGING ON THE SALT FLATS OF CALIFORNIA, LENSED BY STEVEN KLEIN.
Calling back to the collection’s show during Milan Fashion Week that laid hints of toughness, Versace’s image campaign has just the right amount of style-meets-celebrity. Following in the footsteps of her supermodel mom Yolanda Foster, Gigi Hadid embodies the strong, confident and individualistic woman that the Italian house aims at. Alongside Lukasz Grabowski, Benjamin Benedek, Nathaniel Vissier, Natasha Poly and Raquel Zimmermann, Hadid sunbeds and poses in urban jungle motifs, bright hued camouflage patterns and platform heels.
With a special focus on the houses new Palazzo Empire it-bag, Creative Director Donatella Versace and fashion’s most sought-after photographer Steven Klein created a mood that calls for dramatic, fearless and strong adventures with a refined head-to-toe glam.
