CHINESE NEW YEAR

CHINESE NEW YEAR IS APPROACHING AND WILL BE UNDER THE SIGN OF THE MONKEY FOR 2016. A NEW YEAR THAT SHOULD BE CELEBRATED WITH RED AND GOLD FOR GOOD FORTUNE AND JOY, NEUTRALITY AND GOOD LUCK.

Welcoming the first day of the Chinese lunar calendar, designers get you prepared to celebrate the traditional festival fashionwise. Gucci’s Marmont pumps from Spring/Summer 2016 seem perfect for that celebration with golden heel and ornamentations. To that, you can easily add the sophisticated Gucci’s red silk skirt with silver flowers embroidered. While Chloé keeps it casual with a green bomber jacket and tigers embroideries, Alexander McQueen puts a lot of efforts into his detailed Spring/Summer 2016 clutch with romantic flower colours. Can’t go wrong with an all-gold clutch at 3.1 Phillip Lim nor with the leaf shape gold and red earring at Marni. And for a grungier look, Valentino has the right leather jacket! With a full size Chinese dragon embroidered. Dolce&Gabbana’s Spring/Summer 2016 collection refers to traveler and includes details borrowed from traditional Chinese clothing.
