The new man at Pucci

ONLY ONE DAY AFTER THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF PETER DUNDAS RETURN TO CAVALLI, HIS SUCCESSOR AT EMILIO PUCCI WAS PROCLAIMED. MASSIMO GIORGETTI OF MSGM IS GOING TO TAKE OVER.

It’s not a big surprise, the rumour mill had churned already, and now it’s official that Massimo Giorgetti is going to be the new creative director of Emilio Pucci. He proved his knack for beautiful colours and outstanding patterns at his six year-old brand MSGM, which he brought to phenomenal international success.
For Pucci, the house that thrives on its specific patterns, he must have been the perfect choice. “Massimo Giorgetti embodies the entrepreneurial spirit and ingenuity of a new breed of designers”, stated the house of Emilio Pucci. From April onwards, Giorgetti is going to split his time between the MSGM office in Milan and Pucci headquarters in Florence, to work on both collections in parallel. The next Emilio Pucci collection is going to lose a little bit of sexiness for sure, which will be replaced by youthful nonchalance and of course - loads of patterns.
