FASHION IN TRANSITION

CLEARLY, THE FASHION WEEK AS WE KNOW IT IS CHANGING EVER SINCE BURBERRY FIRSTLY INTRODUCED ITS BUY-NOW-WEAR-NOW CONCEPT LAST SEASON AND INSTEAD OF JOURNALISTS, CONSUMER ATTENDEES GAIN MORE AND MORE IMPORTANCE.

Also, designers move away from places such as the Lincoln Center and are showing their collections in form of parties or in well-known buildings or places spread all over Manhattan and Brooklyn.

See-Now-Wear-Now

Designers like Tom Ford are bridging the gaps between runway spottings and availability with their see-now-wear-now concepts, that are surely here to stay. Buying your favourite pieces right after the show is the new way to shop, but considering the season’s offer designers might have to adapt collections, or are we buying our new SS17 pieces when the Fall/Winter season just filtered into the stores? Tom Ford already adapted and showed his FW16 show, merging womenswear with menswear yesterday night.

Calvin Klein

According to market sources, Calvin Klein will not show the latest collection in form of a runway show after announcing Raf Simons as the new creative director. The label will be showcasing the new line at a party in collaboration with Grace Coddington and her new perfume.

Whatever New York Fashion Week has on offer, Hazine will keep you updated. Stay tuned and be in the know.
