SOLE MATES

RUMOURS HAD IT, THAT MARIA GRAZIA CHIURI WAS ABOUT TO BE ANNOUNCED THE NEW CREATIVE DIRECTOR FOR THE FRENCH HOUSE OF CHRISTIAN DIOR. A FEW HOURS AGO, MAISON VALENTINO OFFICIALLY CONFIRMED HER DEPARTURE AND CLAIMED THAT PIERPAOLO PICCOLI WILL CONTINUE AS SOLE CREATIVE DIRECTOR.

After 25 years of creative partnership and close work, the duo of Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccoli will separate. For the past years they have created an iconic and continuous sense of beauty and storytelling through fashion, keeping Valentino at the forefront of the luxury fashion scene. Now, that they are separating and walking new creative and above all individual paths, we are keen to see how their work will evolve without one another. But from what they have accomplished, it can only turn out spectacular. The expectations are huge and we will keep waiting eagerly for the final announcement of Dior to come.
