MAKE A PROMISE

FROM TODAY ON LOUIS VUITTON PRESENTS THE PERFECT MATCH TO KEEP OUR RESOLUTIONS FOR THE YEAR 2016 AHEAD.

Right on time to ring in the new year, the iconic French house partners up with Unicef to help children in urgent need. Working and designing to give a real chance in life to every child, the design team was entrusted to develop a modest yet expressive trinket that stands for safety and protection. Et voilá: The silver Lockit necklace and bracelet that was inspired by the tamper-proof cylinder lock that has been invented by Georges Vuitton in 1890. For each sold item, which is available for 500 dollars, 200 dollars will be donated to Unicef to help children in need around the world. With the donations, the United Nations Children’s Fund ensures to take care of emergency aid and humanitarian action, social inclusion, fundamental protection, healthcare and nutrition as well as education. And to be honest; what could be a better symbol than Louis Vuitton’s locks, that have been keeping the inside of our trunks save ever since. The silver Lockit is the French House’s promise to help children in need around the world, so let us all make this promise!
