New York Day 1

FASHION MONTH HAS OFFICIALLY KICKED OFF AND THE FIRST DAY OF NEW YORK FASHION WEEK SAW DAYTIME READY LOOKS APLENTY. FROM ONSTAGE MOMENTS TURNED INTO ALBUM RELEASE PARTIES AND OFFICE APPROPRIATE OUTINGS, DESIGNERS SURPRISED WITH QUITE DOWN TO EARTH LOOKS FOR FALL/WINTER 2016.

The idea of performance as a dancer or singer marked the starting point for BCBG Max Azria, but in a really gentle and sophisticated way. The collection staged daytime pieces that were layered and had a subtle bohemian touch, nevertheless always adding a shiny note with the help of Lurex fabrics. Less onstage and really down to earth, Marissa Webb designs what women like to wear right now, apart from any special age group or lifestyle. Tailored looks met pinstripes and herringbone optics, always with a buy now wear now attitude. And taking a look inside New York’s most hyped show from the first day, the Yeezy Season 3 by Kanye West, we can tell, turned into an album release party slash fashion show slash installation, with the whole Kardashian family as front row fixtures.
