MILAN DAY 4

ON THE FOURTH DAY OF MILAN FASHION WEEK, WE HAVE SEEN FASHION HOUSES TAKING A LOOK BACK AT THEIR COLLECTIONS, COMBINING THEIR IDENTITIES WITH MODERN DETAILING.

We started the day with a collection dedicated to women at Bottega Veneta, with a nice combination of prints. Tomas Maier used modern fabrics along with modern techniques displaying a colour range of black, brown, burgundy and khaki on soft cardigans, cashmere coats and trouser suits as well as knits. Fur, floral prints and sequins marched for Blumarine Fall/Winter 16. From body to daytime flared dresses to evening gowns, outfits were pretty much all fringed with fur. Beautiful collection at Ermanno Scervino with references from Byzantine mosaics as we can see in the golden outfits and details, as well as the Austrian artist, Gustav Klimt’s colour palette and pattern. Clean cut as always, Rodolfo Paglialunga respected well Jil Sander's identity, designing a minimal and precise line for its Fall/Winter 16 collection. With a modern and architectural touch into the collection, Paglialunga added glossy silver shirts, coats and accessories along with asymmetrical structures.
