CREATIVE VISIONARY

A FEW HOURS AGO, THE RUMOURS HAVE BEEN CONFIRMED: RAF SIMONS IS THE NEW CREATIVE DIRECTOR AT CALVIN KLEIN.

Soon after the announcement that Dior hired Valentino’s Maria Grazia Chiuri, the widely spread rumours, that Raf Simons will take over the creative helm at the iconic American brand after his exit from Dior, have been confirmed yesterday.

“Not since Mr. Klein himself was at the company has it been led by one creative visionary, and I am confident that this decision will drive the Calvin Klein brand and have a significant impact on its future. Raf’s exceptional contributions have shaped and modernised fashion as we see it today and, under his direction, Calvin Klein will further solidify its position as a leading global lifestyle brand”, said Steve Shiffman, CEO of Calvin Klein, Inc. to market sources.

Stepping into Francisco Costas footsteps, the Belgian designer’s runway debut for the upcoming Fall/Winter 2017 season will ring in a new era at Calvin Klein and we are keen to see how he infuses the brand with his well-known signature minimalism, always one step ahead.
