New York Day 3

ON THE THIRD DAY OF NEW YORK FASHION WEEK, DESIGNERS COLLECTIVELY CELEBRATED ANNIVERSARIES AND PAYED TRIBUTE TO SIGNATURE LOOKS AND PAST YEARS.

Celebrating it’s 30th anniversary, the house of Hervé Leger payed tribute to its signature body-skimming bandage dresses. Despite being somewhat predictable, in a positive way, it was an absolutely desirable collection that confirmed Leger's mastery of the super sexy and feminine. Remaining true to the house's heritage, we can already promise that this lineup will be a total sellout. Later that day, Joseph Altuzarra introduced a surprisingly natural collection and once again proved that he knows his customer base. Raw linen and wrinkled textures appeared in belted silhouettes with a handcrafted appearance, and of course there was a strong focus on the label’s signature slits.

The celebration continued at Alexander Wang, who celebrated his label's 10th anniversary with a throwback to the past decade. As you can imagine, the expectations were quite high since the house of Balenciaga and Wang confirmed that they are splitting a few weeks ago. The New York based designer didn’t disappoint. In fact, he proved that he is the master of Downtown New York street fashion.
