CONSTRUCTED COLOUR

WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE WHEN FASHION AND ART COLLIDE? WELL, YOU WILL FIND THE ANSWER IN MAISON VALENTINO’S FALL ACCESSORY LINE-UP.

Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli collaborated with the 26 years old Australian artist Esther Stewart whose art is above all influenced by interior architecture and lately has made a big impact on the Australian art scene.

Reimagining their designs, the duo translated the exploration of Stewart’s optical effects into the FW2015 menswear line and onto womenswear accessories whilst laying special emphasis on aesthetic colour blocks and geometric paintings. What started in a quite incredible offer from a couture house like Valentino ended in an exceptionally artful parade. We can tell that experimenting with perception has never been more desirable.
